What's up?

MOTHERFUCKING FRANK ZAPPA, THAT'S WHAT'S UP. Seriously, these days most people don't know who Frank Zappa is. Some have heard about him, but few have heard his music. That is a shame, because Zappa was a brilliant musician. Granted, he was a 'little' crazy, but in my opinion, that gives a certain value to his music. To be fair, he was crazy when he wanted to, but when shit got serious, he could be a very serious man, and rather eloquent, too! For example, he once gave a speech in which he attacked the Parents Music Resource Center, who wanted to ban explicit content from music. His statement was as follows.

"The PMRC proposal is an ill-conceived piece of nonsense which fails to deliver any real benefits to children, infringes the civil liberties of people who are not children, and promises to keep the courts busy for years dealing with the interpretational and enforcemental problems inherent in the proposal's design. It is my understanding that, in law, First Amendment issues are decided with a preference for the least restrictive alternative. In this context, the PMRC's demands are the equivalent of treating dandruff by decapitation ... The establishment of a rating system, voluntary or otherwise, opens the door to an endless parade of moral quality control programs based on things certain Christians do not like. What if the next bunch of Washington wives demands a large yellow "J" on all material written or performed by Jews, in order to save helpless children from exposure to concealed Zionist doctrine?"

Also, guess who got his ear pierced. What can I say? Combination of alcohol and being an impulsive motherfucker. Ah well, now that I'm used to it, I'm fairly happy with it. It probably wasn't the best idea to get it done the day before mother's day though.

Hooray for me I guess! Let's celebrate with some beer!

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update my blog recently, but I have so much work to do and it doesn't seem like that's going to change very soon. I will try to update every once in a while, so don't worry if I don't post in a couple of days :)
